Kylene Dupuis is a registered Intern Architect with Cascadia Architects. Kylene grew up using construction sites as playgrounds, learning the trades, and realizing her fascination for building design at a very early age. Kylene contributes to all stages of the design process by leveraging her experience working for firms in Detroit, Windsor and Victoria on an array of different projects. With foundational education in visual arts, coupled with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and a Master of Architecture, Kylene offers a creative vision and artistic approach to designing spaces and buildings.
Do you have any out-of-office roles that you’re passionate about?
I worked as a carpenter renovating custom homes for a number of years. I am also a trained high-end kitchen designer.
Tell us about your other degrees or qualifications.
During my undergrad, I was in a cross-border program called Visual Arts and the Built Environment (VABE) between the University of Windsor and the University of Detroit Mercy.
What other interests within the field of architecture do you have?
I am specifically interested in the science of building performance and using architecture as a tool to create sustainable environments. I am also very interested in design build, merging designers, builders, and craftsmen working towards a collective vision.
